What type of information does Owie BowWowie™  and Friends collect and how is the information Used?

Generally, our uses of Personal Information collected online include, without limitation, responding to your inquiry about volunteering time to Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation, enabling you to make a donation, purchasing a product from the sites, or providing information, such as sending marketing communications and newsletters.

 

Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation will retain your Personal Information for fulfillment of the intended purposes for which such Personal Information is collected. Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation will establish minimum and maximum retention periods based upon the type of information collected (i.e., sensitivity), the intended purposes, and as otherwise may be legally required.

The Sites run by Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation also may use other technologies to track the specific pages viewed by visitors on the Sites or to target specific content that might be of interest to you. Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation does not share your account information with anyone and if you chose to opt-out of newsletters or any Sites associated with Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation your account information will not be given or sold to anyone.

 

Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation does include your name when you make a donation or a purchase on our “ArF Angel” page unless you otherwise opt-out. We do this to make sure that each donation and/or purchase is accounted for and it’s for your protection so you can see that your donation matters to the children and Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation.

Does Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation collect information from CHILDREN? Since the site is specifically designed to give hospitalized children a gift of comfort, we are not legally allowed to know the names of the children to whom we give to. We uphold the Confidentially Regulations of hospitals, their staff, and the parents of these children.  Owie BowWowie™ and Friends toys are all hospital-approved and safe for all children ages 3+.  No child information will be shared.

 

Does Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation take donors on donation deliveries? Occasionally we are allowed to invite adults to deliver gifts of comfort to hospitalized children, but permission is required from each hospital, staff, and parents. 

 

Does Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation share photographs of CHILDREN? From time to time we are given permission from the parents of hospitalized children to photograph their child when they are hospitalized. Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation must get permission from the parents, and hospital, and a signed release is obtained and kept on file with the hospital.   Photographs of children who were given a Lil’ Owie are only shared on the internet with written permission from parents. NO PHOTOGRAPHS OF ANY CHILD ARE ALLOWED WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE CHILD’S GUARDIAN.

 

KIDS-FUR-KIDS CLUB!

We do collect information from children under 18 who join our Kids-Fur-Kids Club who want to give a PAWSitive message to hospitalized children. We collect the name and email address only. If a child under 18 sends us a PAWSitive message through the mail and their home address is attached to the envelope we keep their address so we are able to send them a thank you!   If children under 18 are featured on our website or any print media we obtain  written permission from their parent or guardian.

If I give Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation the name and email address of my family or friends, how is that information used?

If you elect to use any features of the Sites (such as "Tell A Friend") to inform a friend about the sites or solicit donations or pledges or otherwise communicate, Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation will reach out (using your name) as the introduction. We do not use their information and add them to our newsletter or reach out for further solicitations.  A person is required to join our newsletter or request information by their personal request to us, either via direct email request or signing up directly from our website.

Whom can I CONTACT if I have questions or concerns about the Privacy Policy?

Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation have designated our Privacy Manager who can be contacted at the Owie BowWowie™ and Friends Foundation contact address listed at the end of this Privacy Policy.
